Plan to bolster Mayflower Park’s sea defences approved
Plans to secure the future of Mayflower Park by bolstering its sea defences have been approved by the city council. The authority has given itself permission to replace a 400m section of sea wall at the waterfront site, which is often battered by huge waves.
The decision could pave the way for work to start on a 40m high tribute to the Spitfire.
